About Garrett Park, Maryland
Garrett Park is a small pastoral town incorporated in 1898 that was originally designed to reflect an English village. The town is governed by a mayor and town council that convenes in the town hall and the town has its own elementary school, post office, pool, and tennis courts. There are approximately 340 households nestled in an arboretum like setting with a diverse mix of trees and architecture. There is a town MARC train station that abuts Penn Place, a public building that houses the Black Market Bistro, town offices, the post office, and an art gallery. The Strathmore Hall Concert Venue and the Grosvenor-Strathmore Metro station are less than a mile walk.
