About the Town of Somerset
The Town of Somerset, incorporated in 1906, is a small bucolic enclave located between Wisconsin Avenue and Little Falls Parkway in Chevy Chase, MD. The town, comprised of approximately 440 houses, within a quarter of a square mile, has its own Mayor and Town Council, elementary school, tennis courts and swimming pool. The Town has a cohesive community core that promotes citizen involvement, in not only town matters, but community sponsored events, and an outreach program for residents. Somerset is within walking distance to Metro (Friendship Heights Station), restaurants, shopping, and the Capital Crescent Trail.
